Lemon were delighted to welcome CONSTRUCT in recognition of being accepted as new supplier members. CONSTRUCT promote innovation in the use of concrete, identify and address best practice and buildability, whilst improving safety and efficiency.
General Manager Ian Burnett visited Lemon Groundwork Solutions at our Wickford depot and Baltic Wharf Rochford depot.
Ian met up with the Sales Manager Hayley Milbank and HSQE team James Gleadell & Alex Thompson who gave Ian a guided tour of the Wickford depot. Ian was able to see all operations, including use of stirrup bending machines and multi-rotor straightening and bar shaping machines and gantry cranes.
At the Baltic Wharf Rochford depot Ian met Operations Director Jack Morris and was able to observe pile cage fabrication on a large scale. Jack demoed the SUPERLATCH® system, which has been developed to aid in the construction of reinforced concrete piles. Lemon Groundwork Solutions have chosen the SUPERLATCH® system to remove the need for workers to place their hands inside the cages. This provides a safety solution in the construction of reinforced concrete piles while speeding up production.
