This bentonite based waterstop reacts on contact with water by swelling to form a watertight seal in concrete structures. It has been specifically designed to seal construction joints against the ingress or emersion of liquids in water retaining or excluding structures therefore protecting steel reinforcement from contact with water.
Dual Seal Waterstop is fixed by nailing to the face of the existing concrete pour prior to placing the next pour. It can be placed directly onto scabbled surfaces where the quality bentonite has the ability to swell up to 16 times its dry volume ensuring effective sealing.
It can be applied to green concrete, in damp conditions and has been independently tested up to 30 metre head of water.
