The manufacturers of Clayboard recommend that Clayboard must be wrapped in polythene to prevent the cardboard core becoming wet and collapsing during the concrete pour.
Contractors realise that diverting skilled site personnel to undertake this
menial task is costly in wages and lost productivity. Additionally the results
of attempting to wrap Clayboard on an open and windy site with a roll of
polythene and tape can often be unsatisfactory and the risk of water
penetration is not reduced.
Lemon Groundwork Supplies have developed the Cut, Bag & Seal service where we provide the labour. This popular service is the best possible protection that you can give to Clayboard.
We can offer to take-off your requirements from your layout drawings. Then
within our specialist production area we cut Clayboard to
width to suit your groundbeams, bag it in purpose made 1000
gauge polythene bags and seal it.
A Bag & Seal service is available for full size boards for slab areas.
The finished product is of a far superior quality than is achievable in on-site conditions. The Clayboard is delivered to site ready to place, and because the Clayboard spends less time on site there is less chance of damage.
